The production of hydrogen is relatively simple. Water is broken down into its components hydrogen (H2) and oxygen (O2). Electrical energy is used to obtain the element hydrogen bound in water as chemical energy. The key element of the energy revolution is „green“ hydrogen which is produced in a carbon-free and sustainable manner such as wind, solar, or biomass. The green hydrogen obtained is then used again to generate electricity with the oxygen in the air in a fuel cell. The only „waste product“ from this process is water vapor or droplets. Hydrogen also enables the development of a local and independent energy supply that will benefit future generations.
