Kulturno-turistička ruta Putovima Frankopana

Cultural heritage is always a source of pride, and Primorje-Gorski Kotar County has a lot to be proud of. One of the best examples of this is the heritage of the Frankopan family. In order to protect its cultural heritage, the County carried out ‘The Routes of the Frankopans’ project from 2005 to 2021. The project included renovating, restoring and bringing back to life preserved Frankopan buildings, and took place in several stages. As part of the project, a cultural tourism route through the former Frankopan estates was designed. Heritage is something to be proud of and shared with others. With this in mind, the County was joined by 12 towns, municipalities, and religious, cultural and tourist institutions in the project, whose aim is also to highlight various connections. It brings together the county’s cultural, culinary and tourist offers and establishes connections between mediaeval Croatian and European history.
