Hotel Eden // reconstruction, Rovinj

Nestled in the shade of a 100 year old pines, Hotel Eden is located near Rovinj`s old town. The Architects from ‘AD arhitektura i dizajn’ were responsible for complete renovation and new design of the hotel rooms, lobby and restaurant of this fine example of late Modernism. The interiors and the furniture were designed and chosen especially for the hotel in order to achieve a distinct and recognizable identity.

The idea was to brought the outside inside to enrich the visitor’s experience. In the restaurant were formed various eating areas so it has the flexibility to adapt, closing and opening spaces, as needed.

The goal was to use locally-based design products, so the designers from Prostoria designed the furniture, AD architects designed custom furniture and cloud lamps and artist Sofija Silvia created artworks in the rooms. The conceptual assump-tions used in the design combines deep respect towards the hotel architecture, combining it with a strong modernity ex-pressed in materials and function.
