The Öfferl Flagship Store at Mariahilfer Straße 9 is a contemporary bakery café reflecting Vienna’s dynamic 6th district. The design transforms the space into a semi-public area, encouraging guests to linger and observe the baking craft. The concept features a clear spatial sequence of production, presentation, and consumption, utilizing an open show bakery, generous counters, and integrated seating for transparency.
Authentic, long-lasting materials define the interior: light terrazzo, brushed stainless steel, various metal panels, vegan leather, textured plaster, and Super White Quartzite. Custom furniture and a bespoke chrome linear lighting installation over the counter emphasize the process-driven nature, creating a distinctive visual identity. The result is a timeless, functional, and recognizable hospitality-led retail space that strengthens the Öfferl brand and establishes an urban meeting point on a busy street.
