Slovanka – printed textile jewelry for body and home

The printed textile jewelry Slovanka is inspired by Slavic folklore art, its floral patterns and motifs. It is a tribute to art and craftsmanship, as each motif is first drawn by hand and later reworked on the computer, and in the final stage the fabric cuts are sewn by hand. The design consists of geometric shapes that are made as individual pieces and can be worn individually or strung together on a necklace or brooch. The patterns are all carefully matched on the sides and edges, and the flat geometric shapes are printed on both sides so the piece can be worn on either side. The jewelry can be worn on the body or as a home accessory and can add character to the space we live in. It can be a reminder of the importance of folk heritage and praise the beauty of nature in a simple but sincere way. The printed patterns are made with sublimatic printing on white, easy-care, woven polyester fabric left over from previous collections. The print does not need to be washed in the process and the only thing left over from the print is the paper, which is recyclable and used for packaging. The jewelry is light and soft, with no filler, so it will deform when squeezed, but can easily be returned to its original shape.
