Yet unknown, the eclectic harbor city of Rijeka stores a dynamic and diverse history. Did you know Rijeka has been a part of seven different countries over the past century? It\’s the birthplace of the world-famous torpedo, and it treasures one of four remaining life vests from the Titanic! Numerous historical figures walked down her streets – Al Capone, Che Guevara, Klimt, and Fiorello La Guardia, amongst many. Combining knowledge and play, MEMORI (as in: memo-ry and Ri-jeka) explores the city’s bountiful heritage through 20 motives. And with a twist! By paring the illustrative card with the matching descriptive one, the game is elevated to an educational dimension. It comes with a booklet holding information about the selected motives and a map revealing their locations. MEMORI is an innovative fundraising model developed by the University of Rijeka Foundation targeting tourists, and local businesses and communities alike, to support future scientific research and student projects.
