We had been looking forward to gathering at the Pyramid of Tirana on 22 October. Following recent developments in the city, we explored every possible option to hold the event as planned, including alternative venues. After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to postpone BIG SEE In Tirana.

Our commitment to bringing BIG SEE In to Tirana remains unchanged. We will announce the new date and venue as soon as they are confirmed.

The event will take place in the same format, bringing together nine Albanian architecture practices for BIG SEE Talks: Finished / Unfinished, alongside Albania’s BIG SEE Perspectives, BIG SEE Award winners and professional meetings.

At the heart of this gathering is our commitment to supporting emerging talent, recognising the work of a new generation of Albanian architects and creating opportunities for meaningful exchange with the wider professional community. This is why we will come to Tirana, and why we look forward to continuing what we have already begun together.

Our thoughts are with our Albanian colleagues, friends and partners during this time. BIG SEE has always been about bringing people together, encouraging dialogue and building connections through architecture. We want our gathering in Tirana to reflect exactly that spirit.

We sincerely thank all participating architects, partners and everyone who has contributed to the preparations. We look forward to coming together in Tirana soon.
