Marija Miloshevska / “MAMKA”

Inspiration:
The collection “MAMKA” is a modern concept of authorship, which is a newly-created, artistic production in the making of new interdisciplinary art practices.
The purpose of this collection is to emphasize the role of filigree jewelry in the contemporary concept of culture, defining the approach and practice of jewelry as a critical discourse in the creation of culture. This collection develops jewelry making as a way of thinking and interpreting through an innovative and applicable approach in other disciplines.
The inspiration for “MAMKA” is directly related to the moment of survival, which through the filigree work and technique for producing artificial flies for fishing is revived in modern life as a moment of existence, from a practical to an artistically scientific aspect.
Culture, as a way of life, is an attempt that includes the meaning of existence, the world of objects and everyday practices that produce material life, in a way that offers us models for a complex evaluation.
