Nestled among the tall trees of Vitosha, just 20 km from Sofia, Bulgaria, and near the Zlatnite Mostove trail, Kuker Hut is a serene retreat where design, nature, and tradition meet. Once a scientific base and later a military rest station, the hut was fully transformed in 2025 by ATG Design. The renovation redefines the idea of the Bulgarian mountain hut by introducing comfort without losing authenticity.
Each of the ten rooms has its own bathroom, restored vintage furniture, and hand-painted tiles with forest motifs. Authentic Kuker masks and costumes bring Bulgarian folklore into the interior, turning the space into a living museum. Murals created by students from the National Academy of Arts give every bedroom a fairytale atmosphere, while a multifunctional studio welcomes yoga, workshops, and creative gatherings. Kuker Hut offers a rare blend of comfort, artistry, and nature.
