Kofan Coffee Shop embodies the aesthetics of third-wave coffee culture in the center of Kremenchuk. The concept is built around a spatial metaphor of a cappuccino cup – a calm, immersive environment where material, texture, and light define the experience.
Walls, ceiling, floor, and furniture are unified in a single cappuccino tone to eliminate visual noise and focus attention on the ritual of coffee. Tactile, layered surfaces reference the structure of espresso and milk, adding depth both visually and physically. A three-dimensional MAKHNO ornament, inspired by Ukrainian embroidery, introduces cultural context and handcrafted identity. The chrome-plated steel bar creates a precise, functional workspace for baristas, while visually echoing the reflective surface of a coffee spoon. Solid wood furniture and signature MAKHNO lighting objects shape a warm, human scale.
Compact in size, Kofan operates as an atmospheric capsule – a space designed for concentration, conversation, and the sensory clarity of coffee culture.
