Zen Chair

First conceived seven years before its realisation, the Zen Collection by Nataša Perković was publicly unveiled in 2024. The initial sketch of the Zen chair was created during Perković’s time at the Kyoto Design Lab, inspired by meditation at the Daitoku-ji temple. Produced with GoEs’ advanced steam-bending wood technology, the design embodies Eastern philosophy: the weakest point becomes the source of strength, allowing the wood to bend without breaking.

The collection currently features a chair, with a table in development. Natural wood tones pair with fabric or leather upholstery, while the ENSŌ exhibition setting expands the experience into an immersive installation of sound, scent, and sand – focusing the senses on tranquillity. Representing one of the most technically complex collaborations between Nataša Perković Studio and GoEs, the Zen Collection merges sophistication, sustainability, and long-term functionality into everyday design.
