Atelje Juran

Tadej Juran, born on July 4, 1988, grew up in a family with a long-standing tradition in carpentry. He studied in Ljubljana and in the Netherlands (Eindhoven University of Technology) and completed his studies at the Faculty of Architecture in 2016.

In 2017, he founded the Juran studio, which places a strong emphasis on creating holistic architecture – works of art that connect the design of spaces, objects, and the natural environment into a harmonious whole while reflecting an understanding of the material nature that is inherently linked to the human interior. He perceives architecture as the art of building and dwelling, which, through its utility, satisfies not only the physical needs of people but also leads us to higher values. Like other forms of art, architecture enriches human life and stimulates the spirit. The vision of the Juran studio is to create spaces that offer silence, evoke feelings of beauty, invite mindful presence, and seamlessly connect the seemingly separate material and spiritual aspects of human existence into a harmonious whole.

Among other awards and recognitions, Tadej received the Plečnik Award for his master’s thesis and the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2023.
