The project concerns the architectural redesign of a 155 sq. m. restaurant in central Uppsala, Sweden, set within a fully renovated mixed-use complex. Inspired by Uppsala’s historic urban fabric and the Sverre district near Vaksala Square, the concept reflects a blend of “clean, urban, and royal” identities, also referencing King Sverre Sigurdsson.

The layout features two dining zones – a main area and a more private space for events – organized through clear, functional geometry. High ceilings and large, panoramic windows enhance natural light and emphasize the exterior view. The design adopts a restrained aesthetic, with a carefully selected palette and textures that reinforce its urban character. Material contrasts – wood, cement, tile, leather, and metal – along with light and dark tones, create a warm and refined atmosphere.
