With a portfolio of public and private projects ZAA has received recognitions in competitions and architecture awards such as, for the realization of Chiostri di S. Pietro, the Honorable Mention of Piranesi Award 2019, selection Best international works Capocchin Award 2019, shortlist Dedalo Minosse Prize 2019, longlist Dezeen Award 2019, nomination for Grand Prix Big See Award 2020 and German Design Award 2021. Specific but not exclusive field of research is the new-ancient relationship, from restoration of monumental complexes to conversion of industrial heritage, from redevelopment of public spaces to urban regeneration. Among the works carried out, the recovery of the Lombardini Foundry as the Aterballetto headquarters, among those underway the reconversion of Building 15B/C at the Reggiane Innovation Park and the redevelopment of the public spaces in the Santa Croce district in Reggio Emilia. Various interventions related to innovation in the workplace and two construction sites in Indonesia for the construction of highrise buildings are underway. Co-founder with Maurizio Zamboni, Andrea Zamboni studied at Mendrisio Academy of Architecture and FAF of Ferrara where he graduated with Peter Zumthor and Vittorio Savi, then collaborated with the offices of Nicola Di Battista and Guido Canali. Ph.D. and Adjunct Professor of Architectural Design at University of Parma (Degree Course in Architecture Regeneration Sustainability), member of the Study Center of Domus magazine directed by Nicola Di Battista, Andrea is the author of numerous essays and publications, has been panelist at international conferences and a member of juries in competitions and international architecture awards.
