Massimo Berzetta Architetto

In 2007, he graduated summa cum laude in Architecture from the University of Florence with a grade of 110/110, and was awarded the merit for the publication of his thesis on the protection and restoration of historical architectural heritage. In the following two years, he consolidated his position as an expert in Urban Restoration, whilst commencing his freelance career and refining his training, research, writing and design activities.

His profile is characterised by extensive experience in complex, coordinated design and construction management, further developed through collaboration with architectural and engineering firms (OIKOS Progetti, SAB, SINTAGMA, MOX Associati) and major corporate partners.
The author has a range of interests in various private and public projects, including architectural restoration, as well as urban, infrastructural and landscape regeneration, covering post-earthquake projects (PSR, PUC, PIR) in all phases of management. These interests are enriched by in-depth studies of historical architecture, encompassing the disciplines of archaeological and monumental restoration, which in turn foster the development of editorial content and multimedia material intended to support seminars and training activities.

In 2024, he published the book “Spello. Infiorate di Pietra. Vicoli, Vie e Piazze: memoria, identità, progetto, per una nuova figurabilità urbana” | Fabrizio Fabbri Editore.

A considerable number of his projects have been the subject of national and international recognition, such as: Menzione Premio InArchitettura / ANCE / Archilovers 2023 | BLT Built Design Award 2024 | LIV Hospitality Design Award 2024 | BIG SEE Architecture Award 2024 + Grand Prix Architecture Award 2025 | BMIAA’25 BIGMAT International Architecture Award, Proximity National Prize, Italy 2025.
