Every building project is unique. Whether it is a market stall, a residential building, or the development of an entire urban district, each project presents its own challenges, opportunities, and questions. Our ambition is to recognize these individual qualities and transform them into a compelling architectural solution, together with our clients.
We see ourselves as trustees and partners of the client. Through open dialogue and collaboration on equal terms, we develop projects that meet the needs of their users, while making a sustainable contribution to the built environment and architectural culture. Our goal is to create distinctive, ambitious, and high-quality architecture with every new building. For us, quality, economic efficiency, and sustainability are not conflicting objectives, but essential components of a holistic design and construction process. We therefore approach every task comprehensively and support projects with great care, from the initial concept through to completion.
Key impulses for our work arise from a thorough engagement with the site, its context, and the people who will ultimately use the building. This approach enables us to create solutions that respond sensitively to their surroundings while developing a clear architectural identity of their own. At the heart of our work are people. Respect, trust, and a collaborative relationship form the foundation of every project. We believe that meaningful architecture emerges when clients and designers work together toward a shared vision.
Christoph Scheithauer, born in Landshut, Germany, in 1965, studied Architecture at the University of Applied Sciences in Coburg, and gained practical experience in architectural offices in Germany and Austria. A major influence on his professional development was his work with the Salzburg-based office Lorenz-Schmirl.
In 1998, he founded his own architectural practice in Salzburg. Since then, he and his team have realized projects of various scales, ranging from housing and public buildings to urban development. As a founding member of the Salzburg Chapter of the Austrian Association of Architects, he has been actively engaged in promoting architectural discourse and building culture since 2009.
His work is guided by the belief that architecture carries responsibility towards society, the environment, and future generations. Numerous national and international awards recognize his commitment to combining design quality, social responsibility, and sustainable development.
