Alter arhitektura & design is a studio for architecture, interior design and lighting design based in Grosuplje. It was founded in 2019. Founder Janja Štibernik leads their work ethic based on a human approach. The most important thing is to find a way to convey to people the meaning of a well-designed space in terms of a combination of functionality, composition, integrity, heritage and location. They treat all these aspects in the original sense - how they affect people and the environment. They specialize in lighting design, which plays an important role in all their projects: natural and artificial. In recent years, they have implemented mainly residential projects, adaptations and some public ones: dental clinic, offices. Regardless of the scope, size or financial background of the projects, there is always at least one part of every project where they believe they can do something more from a "design for well-being" perspective. In the architectural sense, current projects and wishes for the future are wooden and environmentally friendly projects.
