The new music rehearsal hall for the municipality of Haibach is located right in the heart of the village. The building made it possible to create a new village square. It is bordered by the music rehearsal hall and bus stop on one side and by the church and town hall on the other. The topographical slope from northeast to southwest was used to create seating steps, forming an inviting, arena-like space between the street and the square.
The music hall is entered at the northern corner of the building, via a covered entrance loggia and a foyer. From there, one proceeds along the wall that serves as a wardrobe to the lounge area, which opens to the west through a large window overlooking the landscape. The rehearsal hall can be accessed from both the foyer and the lounge area. The irregular shape of the hall walls, which are twisted relative to each other, has a positive effect on the acoustics. The hall can be almost completely opened to the town square using sliding walls, creating a seamless transition between the interior and exterior spaces.
