Metropol Migros Headquarters, Istambul

Metropol Migros Headquarters is an open office project located in Istanbul, Turkey. The most innovative part of the project is its take on noise in an open office concept. Noise is generally a big problem in open office environments but in Metropol Migros Headquarters we chose every single piece of material from floorings to tables and chairs with the highest noise isolation capabilities. This eliminates the problem of noise pollution and enables workers to use all positive aspects of an open space with highest effectiveness. Although every employee has their own designated table, our design creates a variety of different working spaces such as noise cancelling meeting rooms, lounge areas or an amphitheater like seating area where employees can use depending on their mood. This creates a strong sense of belonging to the office and employees see the whole office as “theirs” and not just their table. The choice of materials strengthen the idea of a free flowing open space concept.
