Launched in 2018 as a regional initiative to explore the creative potential of Southeast Europe, the BIG SEE Awards have since grown into a globally recognised award. Today, they honour outstanding achievements in architecture and product design from around the world.

BIG SEE is more than just an award. It is a cultural and business platform that connects original creative achievements in architecture and interior design globally. Application Requirements

Submitted projects must have been completed within the last three years. Projects can be submitted by any of the following: authors, clients, suppliers, or contractors involved in the project. Entrants may submit multiple projects, but each project requires a separate entry form and payment of the entry fee.

To be considered for the competition, entries must be submitted before the registration deadline, along with a fully completed application form, all required visual materials (photos and/or videos), and payment of the registration fee. The project name must be final. Submissions must be in English.

Each entry must be accompanied by 6–15 high-resolution project photos, clearly labeled with the project and office name. These images will be used for print and web publication, so ensure they reflect the project’s quality.

A pro-forma invoice for the registration fee will be generated automatically. Entries will only be accepted upon payment of the registration fee. For bank transfers, the fee must be received within 8 days of submitting the registration form. Entries without confirmed payment will not be reviewed or judged. If a project receives an award in the 1st jurying circle, the cost of the Winner’s Package must be covered. Payment and confirmation of the package are required before any award benefits are issued.

Judging Criteria

The international jury of industry experts reviews the received applications based on the following qualities:

  • innovation, intelligent design, and originality
  • environmental sensitivity and sustainability
  • cultural and social awareness
  • functionality: how the project achieves its stated goals

Among the awarded entries, the jury will also select one Grand Prix winner per category. All jury decisions are final and not subject to appeal.

Jury Process

  • Evaluation Period: August 2025 – April 2026

The evaluation of submitted projects is ongoing and begins shortly after the complete application (fee + materials) is received. Rather than a fixed judging date, judgments are conducted in several cycles, depending on submission volume.

Award Confirmation

  • Winner Notification: Sent individually, on a rolling basis after evaluation.
  • Award Logo and Certificate: Issued after payment is received.

BIG SEE Festival 2026

  • Grand Prix award ceremony and dinner party,

Please ensure that payment is completed within the specified time frame to confirm participation and maintain eligibility for the award. Award recipients are granted the right to use the Award Logo for promotional purposes across digital and print channels. Displaying the logo strengthens credibility and visibility across all communications.

Winners receive an official certificate in PDF format, formally recognising their achievement in the BIG SEE Awards competition. The certificate serves as a mark of excellence and can be used across digital and print communications.

Do not forget to submit at least 6 high-resolution photos of your project (including the photographer’s name), vector-based plans (PDF, not JPG) and a portrait photo of the author or author team.
