Athanasios Babalis is an industrial and product designer based in Thessaloniki, Greece, with international experience in London and New York. He leads his own design studio and teaches at AKTO College and the International Hellenic University, while also serving as a BIG SEE Nominator. He reflects on the theme by describing “enough” as a shared responsibility, grounded in care, collaboration, and restraint.
For me, “enough” is a shared responsibility.
Designing with real care and restraint means respecting resources, people and the environments we shape together.
When we slow down, listen and design with care, design becomes truly meaningful — as it allows spaces and objects to support life, not compete with it.
