Hello, my name is Andrea Ivanescu, I’m from Romania and I’m the head of design department at Bemel. What is still worth creating? For us, schools. Not just in big cities, but in every village for every child. At Calinesh Middle School, we wanted to prove that a child in a Romanian village deserves the same learning environment as a child in any capital city. Light, color, technology, dignity. Our role as architects is to create spaces for others, not merely as shelters, but a way of life, comfortable spaces to live in and to learn in. A school speaks to a child every morning. Our says: you matter. That is still worth creating.
