Caffè Sospeso

Located in the heart of Prizren and surrounded by numerous cafés, Sospeso sets itself apart by breaking the monotony with a concept deeply rooted in coffee culture. Its name, Caffè Sospeso, draws from an Italian tradition where a customer pays in advance for an extra coffee – offered to someone in need.

Though compact in size, the café delivers a rich, immersive experience where the aroma of coffee permeates the entire space. This sensory atmosphere is amplified by the barista’s direct engagement with guests during the brewing process and the artistic display of coffee holders, thoughtfully positioned to capture attention upon entry.

The design emphasizes comfort and warmth, using materials that convey both texture and calm. Microcement coats the floors, walls, and ceilings, offering a seamless and tactile backdrop. To counter visual uniformity, mosaic accents introduce bursts of color and creativity.

An exposed Avramenko ceiling enhances the sense of spatial openness, while MDF cladding and carefully selected lighting fixtures maintain a cohesive material language – balancing the raw appeal of concrete with the warmth of wood.
