Tiles by Sabine Marcelis extend the designer’s exploration of light, colour, and glass into an architectural context. The collection translates thirteen signature colours into luminous glass tiles, designed to pair with her Saturated Palette for Blēo.
The tiles are available in two finishes: a frosted matte that softly diffuses light and a glossy surface that enhances reflection and clarity. Colour is applied to the reverse of the glass in a uniform layer, ensuring consistency while allowing translucency to create depth. The result is a surface that feels grounded yet subtly animated by light.
Each tile is defined by precise edge detailing within a continuous form. A straight cut maintains a clean architectural expression, while a subtle bevel captures light along the edges, adding quiet definition. A calibrated finish ensures alignment across surfaces, balancing tactility and precision.
Produced in Italy within a region known for its glassmaking tradition, the tiles are crafted by skilled artisans using refined techniques. Each piece is made to order, combining craftsmanship with Marcelis’s approach to colour and Blēo’s focus on purity in surface and tone.
The collection supports a wide range of applications, from bathrooms and kitchens to outdoor and interior spaces. Used individually, each finish creates a calm, monochrome expression, while combining matte and glossy surfaces introduces subtle variation. Available in three formats – 10×10 cm, 10×20 cm, and 10×30 cm – the tiles adapt seamlessly to walls, ceilings, floors, and bespoke compositions.
More than a surface, the collection offers a material language for shaping space through colour, light, and reflection.
