The large playground at Theresienwiese and the stations within the multi-row linden avenue have been redesigned in an attractive way, while preserving the valuable tree population, integrating existing surfaces and furnishings where appropriate. The concept assigns different functions to the areas: The large playground is designed as a recreational space for all generations, with a focus on play for primary school children and teenagers.
The play stations along the avenue are grouped: play and relaxation in the north, fitness in the central area, and toddler play in the south. The new platform course, with adjacent sky swings and a wide slide, evokes associations with “Wiesn” rides. Smaller children are catered for on the lower level, while older children and teenagers can climb via varied routes and slide down together.
