The stacking of complementary apartment typologies forms the architectural framework of the project, with each expressed through its own volumetry. A precise incision into the terrain marks the entrance from Sonnenbergstrasse. Continuous horizontal bands tie the different floors together into a calm, unified volume, and, in the east-west direction, are formed as beams supporting the loggias at the building’s corners. Materiality is reduced to a few robust and low-maintenance finishes: exposed concrete, anodized aluminium, large-format glazing, and glass-ceramic on the exterior; terrazzo, anhydrite screed, white plaster, and PU coating in the interior.
