Partial demolition and complete conversion of the existing building to accommodate medical, X-ray, diagnostics, conference, and office functions. The building is located at the central gate of the industrial site. Due to the building’s planned mixed-use program – including diagnostic rooms, medical practices, office spaces, as well as conference and training rooms – an atrium was introduced, retaining the existing reinforced concrete structure.
This atrium serves as a unifying element for the diverse functions. Due to the existing site conditions and the diverse functional requirements, the position of the atrium and the layout of the corridors naturally led to an amorphous spatial arrangement. During the renovation, besides preserving the existing structure, the façade plane and applying brick cladding were key priorities. The façade was designed with a timeless appearance: to convey a reinterpretation of an old building while introducing a contemporary touch.
