Răzvan Clondir is a Romanian interior designer, lecturer, and researcher at the National University of Arts Bucharest (UNArte), where he teaches environmental design, ergonomics, and interior space aesthetics in the Department of Design. A UNArte graduate in decorative arts and design, he holds a master’s in communication and public relations, and a PhD in Visual Arts. His work investigates the relationship between design, memory, and place. He advocates for a design education that remains attentive to context, and for design’s capacity to document and preserve the memory of places travelled or inhabited.

His professional activity spans education, research, and practice. He teaches design studios, mentors diploma projects, and leads research such as M[emor]yth — an artistic inquiry into travelled landscapes — while publishing studies and articles. A member of ErgoWork, the Romanian Ergonomics and Workplace Management Society, he involves students in ergonomics competitions. Since 2000 he has run his own interior design practice, u b q. He coordinates collaborative workshops between art universities and serves on the jury of design competitions. Throughout his work, he remains committed to a design practice that is reflective, pedagogically engaged, and rooted in cultural memory.
