The apartment is located in Quadronno, one of Milan’s most elegant districts, where early 20th-century buildings coexist with modern Milanese architecture. A family of four from Florence chose to move here and entrusted the renovation to Offstage.

Years of renting had compromised the unit: while some original elements retained their charm, later additions lacked quality. The clients’ needs required a major reorganization of the layout, particularly to create an additional bedroom. This led to relocating the kitchen, which was transformed from a separate room into the central core of the living area. Cast in exposed reinforced concrete, with a curved wall opening toward the corridor, the kitchen becomes the project’s defining element and enhances spatial perception. Curved plasterboard ceilings, custom oak cabinetry, and the restoration of original parquet floors, wooden doors, and ceiling decorations complete the intervention, balancing respect for the existing structure with contemporary living requirements.
