Atelier Margutta
Located in the heart of Rome - one of the world’s most artistic and historic cities - the Atelier is a premier destination for those seeking exclusive, tailored design dedicated to enriching the human experience. Founded in 2019 by architect Cinzia Pisciella, who was shortly after joined by interior designer and 3D artist Matteo Morresi, the studio promotes the Italian design ethos worldwide: a distinctive blend of creativity, elegance, functionality, and quality that continues to inspire across disciplines.
Our team works to curate spaces that reflect each client’s identity, while honoring the history and context of the surrounding environment. In alignment with the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, we are committed to the preservation of architectural heritage through sustainable restoration and energy-efficient renewal as a core responsibility. The Atelier philosophy is to create timeless spaces with a refined, material-driven aesthetic where art merges seamlessly with design. Atelier Margutta is an internationally awarded studio representing excellence in architecture and interior design, offering tailor-made solutions that combine innovation with a deep respect for cultural context. With a focus on customization and meticulous detail, each project is transformed into a unique, signature work. The Italian touch embodies a way of living shaped by a sophisticated sense of beauty and quality.
Architect Cinzia Pisciella is the visionary soul of Atelier Margutta. After moving to Rome in 2004, she specialized in Architectural Restoration at Roma Tre University. Her research on the dialogue between past and future led her to present at the 2012 International Congress in Rio de Janeiro. Her career includes prestigious projects, such as designing tailored furnishings for the LDS Rome Temple (2015) and luxury retail spaces for Michael Kors and Max Mara (2016). For Cinzia, every project is a “laboratory of emotional intelligence” where the client’s psychology meets high-end craftsmanship. Inspired by her global travels, she masters light and materiality to create unique environments. In 2023, she earned a Master’s in the Valorization of Historic Centers at Sapienza University, solidifying her commitment to preserving architectural heritage through sustainable innovation.
