Paolo D'Arrigo
Paolo D'Arrigo Design, Italy
Paolo D’Arrigo is a designer who explores, shapes, and interprets matter, transforming it into furniture and home collections.
He conceives design as continuous research where nature and technology converge. For him, form is never a mere aesthetic exercise, but the result of a method that confronts material and manufacturing constraints in order to overcome them. Guided by the inherent characteristics of materials, D’Arrigo turns the know-how of his partner companies into a boundary to be expanded.
A versatile designer, he oversees the entire creative process, from concept to communication. He combines his role as a product designer with that of a creative director, supervising the brands’ output across the board.
Throughout his career, he has received numerous international awards, including the German Design Award, A’ Design Award, European Product Design Award, IDA Design Award, and several selections in the ADI Design Index.
An active promoter of design culture, he has been a member of ADI since 2008 and served as president of the Lazio delegation from 2015 to 2017.
As a professor of Product Design at AANT, IED, and La Sapienza University in Rome, he goes beyond transmitting technical tools, sharing the deeper values of a profession that, he firmly believes, has the power to generate a real and positive impact on society.
