The City of Prague, in collaboration with Prague City Tourism, has completed the comprehensive renovation of the ground floor of the Old Town Hall, introducing a revitalized public space with new tourist services. As a result of the reconstruction, the Old Town Hall now houses a new tourist information center and a brick-and-mortar souvenir shop.
Beyond these services, the public can access a newly opened stone corridor, following the historic route, which, according to the earliest preserved photographs from 1969, was no longer in public use at that time. The passage is now fully accessible to visitors, and its rear section provides a completely barrier-free entrance to the Town Hall. The sensitive approach adopted for the renovation, along with the visual concept of the new tourist facilities, reflects the gradual cultivation of tourism in the city. The interior design was conceived in a minimalist style so as not to compete with the dominant historic character of the building.
