NEO Workstation – Advanced by Design by Studio desk, designed by Damir Galić

NEO® is a contemporary workstation designed to merge architectural presence with everyday functionality. While most desks are designed to sit against a wall and visually disappear into the room, NEO® was conceived as a freestanding object – a piece of functional architecture, meant to be seen from every angle. The design is defined by a tempered glass surface that appears to float above two sculptural pedestal structures.

These vertically ribbed columns serve both structural and aesthetic purposes, creating a strong visual rhythm while subtly concealing the lifting mechanism and integrated lighting system. A key design objective was to eliminate visual clutter while integrating modern technological functions. Touch-sensitive controls are embedded beneath the glass surface, allowing users to adjust the desk height without introducing visible buttons or mechanical interfaces. Wireless charging and connectivity ports are integrated discreetly into the structure to maintain a clean and uninterrupted visual language.

Material selection was guided by the desire to combine precision with warmth. The glass top provides a refined and durable working surface, while the ribbed pedestal elements introduce texture and depth, especially when illuminated by the integrated LED lighting system that softly accentuates the vertical geometry. Beyond functionality, NEO® addresses the evolving relationship between workspace and living space. As work increasingly moves into the home environment, furniture must perform both technically and aesthetically.

NEO® was designed to function equally as a professional workstation and as a design object within contemporary interiors. Rather than hiding technology, the design integrates it seamlessly into the architectural form of the desk. The result is a workstation that emphasizes clarity, proportion, and material expression, while supporting modern workflows.
