Moonwalk is an urban furniture collection designed by Madelu Design studio. Composed of six elements: a bench with and without backrest, a table with integrated seating, a single-seat table, a bicycle rack, and a waste bin. The collection was conceived to combine functionality, visual lightness, and a strong, iconic formal identity. Inspired by the pop icon Michael Jackson, and in particular by his famous “zero gravity” dance move, in which the body leans forward, defying the laws of balance.
Moonwalk translates this concept into design. Each element plays with inclination, center of gravity, and oblique lines, generating dynamic volumes that appear to challenge gravity while maintaining perfect stability. The result is a minimal and contemporary collection that integrates seamlessly into a wide range of architectural contexts, inviting users to experience public space with a renewed sense of lightness and movement. All elements are entirely made of steel, featuring a curved, tubular structure combined with folded sheet metal surfaces, and finished with powder coating to ensure durability and long-term resistance. The collection is available in five selected colors and can be customized in any RAL finish upon request.
Designed with inclusivity in mind, the main table is fully accessible to wheelchair users, reflecting the project’s commitment to combining design, quality, ergonomics, and accessibility.
