Industriæ, Venice – Porto Marghera

Industriæ tells about the manufacturing process and the production cycles of Porto Marghera, focusing the attention on the productive capital gathered over a century. Industriæ conceives Porto Marghera like a big device, where workers, knowledge, production and culture are constantly developing in the pursuit of integration and innovation. This area has connected Venice with the national and international context for hundreds years. Porto Marghera has been indeed the driving force of big economic and social changes which have marked the last century.
Industriæ focuses on the products used for a century; these products are the result of a long period of research, hard work and even tragedies. A journey in space and time which employs different narrative levels to describe the transformation of raw materials and the evolution of productive cycles: the stories and the workers’ faces, the historical-technical and informative material, the objects representing industrial design works.
