The Drumlerhof Hotel has grown over the years through various stages of expansion. The new color scheme for the façades aims to visually unify the heterogeneous structure without any structural alterations, and to represent the building in the village as an inn, a historically established address. The color design is derived from the main colors of traditional buildings in Sand in Taufers. In the community, there are also numerous houses with painted decorations and geometric embellishments.

The new pattern now refers to these observed features in their typical local form, as if a dress has been laid over the entire building. The annexes and extensions are painted green, the main façade green and white – and the color red remains reserved for highlighting entrances, doors, the veranda, and the wayfinding system. A small intervention with great memorability and recognizability.
