The project was conceived for Nixon Boutique, a concept store in development bringing together contemporary designers and manufacturers from the Balkans, primarily in fashion. In addition to its retail function, the boutique plans to host international DJs, who perform and video record their sets, which are later published online.

The client requested a DJ booth that would not dominate the space, would appear elegant on camera, and could also function, during the day, as a clothing rack and display counter. The result is a fully demountable structure, designed for long-term use and easy reassembly at potential future locations, and therefore built from durable, long-lasting materials.

The booth was entirely produced in Podgorica, then transported and assembled in the boutique in Belgrade. Inspired by the form of a leather belt, it merges the tactile nature of the boutique with the functionality and requirements of a DJ setup, highlighting the dual identity of the space through fashion and sound. The horizontal bar connecting the two main sections serves as a clothing rack (stand) and is leather-covered, while the metal side frames are reinforced with a solid wood panel that also functions as the DJ counter. The two pockets for vinyl records are also made of leather, combining practicality with refined detail.

The aim of this design was to fulfill both aesthetic and practical needs through innovation, multifunctionality, and adaptability. The product was awarded the Grand Prix in the Industrial Design Category at the Balkan Architectural Biennale (BAB) 2025.
