The first lighting design by Ceramic Sparrow is a desk/table lamp. The geometric appearance with minimalist styling, the preciousness of the satin finish porcelain and the functionality are the determinants of this object. It has as main inspiration two modern emblematic buildings designed over a period of about seven decades – Villa Malaparte of Curzio Malaparte, and Zaha Hadid’s Messner Museum, the volumes and the relationship these buildings have with the place where they were designed. The edelweiss flower has led us to the matte look, to the fragility and subtlety of such an object made entirely of porcelain and to the delicacy balanced by geometry. It’s easy to handle, lightweight, the sole gives it good stability and the articulated arm of the lamp has a solid hollow structure through which the thread passes. The included bulb is LED, warm and bright, with very low consumption and correct light.
