Located on Park Avenue South, near Gramercy Park, the new Maharam showroom occupies the corner of a former retail space. The renovation introduced a new entrance on Park Avenue South and new storefront windows along East 21st Street.
The existing plaster ceiling and columns were restored, new interior stone window sills were installed, and a new HVAC system was integrated. A parquet floor – replicating the original pattern – was installed and finished in a neutral gray to complement the purpose-designed furniture crafted from vertical-grain fir and marine plywood. With the exception of a small service area, the space remains fully open and is furnished with meeting and display tables, workstations, storage cabinets, and wall-mounted shelving to accommodate the extensive product collection.
The New York showroom is part of a suite of newly rebranded Maharam locations – alongside Los Angeles, Chicago, and London – established as a multi-brand environment that includes Knoll Textiles and Edelman Leather.
