The COMMOD See House is an L-shaped House on the shore of Lake Neufeld in Burgenland. Two modules form a clear structure, positioned to open toward the lake and maximize the views. Upon entering, a slightly rotated visual axis reveals the terrace on one side and the living space extending toward the water on the other.
The spacious foyer leads directly to the two bedrooms. Service spaces – bathroom, separate WC, and storage – are integrated into the white interior walls, with flush doors and continuous shadow gaps, opposite large window fronts. The open living area, with a ceiling height of 2.7 m, unfolds as a bright living kitchen. A large window frames the lake and creates a direct visual axis from the entrance to the water, while circulation areas maintain a constant connection to the landscape. The living room opens to the terrace, creating smooth transitions outdoors, with the garden extending to a private pier.
The façade of vertical, dark wood gives the house a calm and elegant appearance, while natural materials and light wooden floors shape a bright interior defined by light, water, and nature.
