With an aesthetic that harmonizes minimalist influences and touches of Brazilian culture, designer Rafael Oliva created a piece that radiates serene sophistication. Its elegance and minimalism evoke the purity and beauty of classical pianos, while the elongated, segmented design recalls the instrument’s keys, resulting in a piece that is simultaneously functional and poetic.
Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the Chopin Bench stands out for its commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. It is crafted from recycled plastic collected by NGOs dedicated to the protection and care of abandoned animals. A two-meter Chopin Bench contains approximately the same amount of plastic that a person uses in two years, all repurposed from waste. This production process not only elevates the space in which the bench is placed, but also contributes to environmental preservation and animal welfare.
Every design detail reflects a pursuit of harmony between aesthetics and purpose. Additionally, the Chopin Bench can be used outdoors, as it is water-resistant.
