Catharina Fineder trained as a cabinetmaker before studying architecture in Innsbruck and Eindhoven. She has been working as a freelance architect in Feldkirch, Vorarlberg, since 2009. Her aim is to develop sustainable buildings in close cooperation with the client and to implement them together with competent craftsmen.
Optimizing the energy efficiency of buildings is a matter of course for her. In her eyes, buildings with low energy costs are a must and with appropriate adaptation existing buildings can be significantly improved in terms of usage as well as sustainability. The interplay of form, use and environment is a particular concern for her when creating simple yet so phisticated design solutions.
