Buranbanen Activity Park is inspired by the industrial character and working-class history of the Buran neighborhood. The color use, play structures, and art expressions give the place a rough and industrial feel. Buranbanen Activity Park even has its own unique play element: “The Matchless Manik”, a fabulous factory machine built from various reclaimed parts.
The characters were assembled from different re-use elements that were collected, experimented with, and then processed to meet the requirements of playground regulations and painted in bright colors. “The Matchless Manik” and the other quirky elements in the park make circular thinking become a tool for storytelling. Achieving a good mix of functions was very important in designing the park. The park is designed so that the different activity areas are in contact and overlap with each other. We want to create an experience of everything happening in the park and making all visitors feel included.
