
Ajda Bračič

Ajda Bračič is an architect, editor, curator and writer. Her main focuses are adaptive reuse, environmental and social sustainability, and the intersections of architecture, philosophy and language. She regularly contributes to several Slovenian media outlets in the fields of architectural and cultural criticism and theory. In 2021, she founded Kajža, a non-governmental organization dedicated to the promotion and education of architectural renovation. Kajža offers online and in person resources to empower investors and architects tackling transformations of old buildings, hosts events, workshops, and the first Slovenian festival of renovation and sustainable living: Rupture Festival. In 2022, Kajža has been selected as one of the 25 most promising European emerging architectural practices by the LINA platform.
Ajda Bračič is also the author of two critically acclaimed fiction books, a short story collection, which has won two of the main Slovenian national awards for literature, and a novel.
