Spyridon Architecture is a small design-oriented practice that focuses on custom-made, personalized, and integrated residential architecture. Our style is simple, aesthetic, and long lasting, while small scale is where we thrive the most. It was founded by the award winning Architect and Planner Spyridon Koutantzis in 2020 on the island of Naxos.

Spyros is an architect (M.Arch) and urban planner (M.Eng) who leads Spyridon Architecture, a small studio based on the island of Naxos. His practice is dedicated to crafting simple, enduring designs that resonate with the human experience and the Cycladic landscape. Born and raised in Naxos, he comes from a family of engineers dating back to the 1950s, which inspired his early interest in the built environment. He began his academic journey at the Department of Urban Planning and Development at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where he explored design across various scales. Recognizing his passion for building design, he pursued further studies in architecture at the same institution, graduating with distinction.

In 2020, Spyros established his own practice in his hometown, concentrating on residential design. Since then, he has worked on a range of projects that reflect his commitment to thoughtful, human-centered architecture. He has been honored with recognition from the Technical Chamber of Greece for outstanding academic performance, participated in international competitions, and had his work featured in publications such as eVolo, Archello, Archilovers, Archetype, Ktirio, and Archstudies.

In 2025, he was awarded a commendation at the Greek Architecture Awards by DOMa, recognizing his commitment to contemporary Greek architecture. Additionally, his project “House in an Olive Grove” was selected among Archilovers' Best Projects of 2024, and in 2026 received the BIG SEE Architecture award in the residential category.
