Prof. Maruša Zorec teaches at the Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana and has been working at the Arrea architectural firm since 1996. She is involved in the protection of modern architectural heritage and issues related to its preservation. She participated in the project Evidenca in valorizacija moderne arhitekturne dediščine 1945-70 (2000) and prepared the exhibition and publication Piranesi on the work of architect Oton Jugovec (2001). She has received numerous first prizes in competitions and awards for artistic achievements (Prešeren Award, 2012; Plečnik Award, 2011, 2009, 2002; Piranesi Award, 2010, 2008, 1999). She has exhibited at presentations of Slovenian contemporary architecture and is a guest lecturer at European schools of architecture.
