Studio Weave is one of the most progressive and socially engaged architectural firms in the UK, creating a new perspective on design, architecture, urban landscapes, and planning. Their projects use small interventions in space to create social networks and collaboration within local communities. The founders of the studio — South Korean-born architect Je Ahn and British architect Maria Smith — have received numerous awards, including the Civic Trust Award in 2013 and 2014, three RIBA South East Awards in 2013, the AR+D Awards for Emerging Architecture in 2013, and this year’s Riba Research Trust Award in 2014.
