Jugošik, Slovenia

Jugošik Design Studio led by Nina Savič, an architect and designer dedicated to bringing forgotten pieces back to life and turning them into meaningful design stories, connects contemporary design with the rich cultural heritage of the Yugoslav furniture and lighting industry.

Forgotten ‘jugo’ pieces, often left for bulky waste collection, are carefully rescued, dismantled, and transformed. Instead of restoring them to their original state, Jugošik thoughtfully reuses individual parts—doors, drawers, legs, and glass elements—to create new, chic products where forgotten pieces find their happy ending.

Minimalist and functional designs highlight the beauty of these reclaimed materials, bringing a touch of nostalgia and timeless elegance into modern spaces.

Sustainable, authentic, and locally crafted, Jugošik creations fill interiors with charm, character, and soul.
