Demi

Demi is a sculptural lighting object developed by Sabin Dumitriu as part of an ongoing exploration of lighting as iconic, spatial elements. Originally conceived for interior design projects, Demi evolved into a standalone piece through technical refinement and material experimentation.

Its cast aluminum body, shaped like a bent pipe, rests on a modular base that allows it to be mounted on floors, walls, or ceilings. The design merges functionality with a playful visual language, drawing inspiration from contemporary Memphis aesthetics through bold, unconventional colors.

Demi embodies a hybrid approach – between art, design, and engineering – offering both atmospheric illumination and a striking visual presence.
