The exceptional Viennese fine dining restaurant, renowned for its unconventional approach to haute cuisine, has received a fresh interior update from BFA x KLK. Proudly embracing the slogan “A family restaurant with no borders,” the establishment stays true to its unique ethos.
Located in an unassuming corner building in Vienna’s “Brigittenau” district, the restaurant greets guests with an intimate and personal touch – you have to ring a bell to enter, just like visiting friends for dinner. Once inside, you’re immersed in the dynamic kitchen atmosphere and discover one of the city’s most innovative cuisines.
The design feeds off a distinctive mix of natural materials, including clay plaster and untreated timber, creating a relaxed yet elegant ambiance that mirrors the hosts’ down-to-earth philosophy. Deep window recesses and door soffits are coated with black steel sheets, while shelving units in the same material double as room dividers and functional storage.
A precise lighting system featuring Flos ceiling spots, commonly used in art galleries, not only highlights the culinary creations but also showcases an impressive collection of artworks by Austrian and international artists.
